Hi Guys!

I am ecstatic to announce that a new Kirby will be here soon and I want to thank you all so much for the kind words and well wishing - Erin and I are absolutely thrilled to be expecting our first child!

It is in times like these that you really contemplate your life and I certainly have been doing my fair share of personal exploration as of late. The phrase "truly fortunate" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel - I'm just so very thankful for Erin, my brother, his fiance, our parents, Wriggley, my co-workers and my friends. Although slightly anxious, I'm really, really looking forward to be being a dad...

How do you become a good parent? I have no idea but I'm going to do everything in my power to try to raise this baby to be as happy and healthy as he can be!

Which brings me to a point: As much as I enjoy the entertainment industry, nothing is more important to me than my family and as a result, I'm going to understandably be keeping my personal life, just that... personal. Thus you'll always be able to come back here for entertainment updates, discussions, and news but I probably won't be posting any details about my family, and most specifically, my new son.

When I see a show like "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" or I read of the 'Ballon Boy" hoax, I only see detriment and I don't think we yet know the consequences of exposing children to participation in reality programing. Now at first blush that might seem rather hypocritical coming from someone who has appeared on a number of reality shows but on all programs in I've been involved with the participants were well over 18 years of age and were there by their own volition.

Regarding all the kind messages Erin and I have received, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Now I have to run... I'm meeting with Jeff Probst to discuss getting my kid on Survivor in 2028.
